HVAC Mechanic – Quakertown/Allentown, PA

Characteristic Duties and Responsibilities:

• Investigates problems and performs repairs on various mechanical and electrical equipment in heating, cooling and ventilation systems.
• Diagnose diverse service issues, obtain any replacement parts, calibrate system to manufacturer’s recommendations and explain fully to customer what the issue is and what is needed to correct.
• Install, maintain and repair heating, ventilation and cooling units for both commercial and residential type systems. Diagnose and repair of electronic, mechanical and electrical components of these systems.
• Be available to work nights or weekends, on a rotating basis, to service emergency needs.
• Understand company processes and policies. Obtain customer signature at completion of job.
• Document all installed equipment upon arrival: make, model, serial number, type of equipment, necessary test measurements and pictures as necessary.
• Performs preventative maintenance on various mechanical and electrical equipment in heating and cooling systems.
• Monitors and inspects heating and cooling systems to ensure continued proper operation.
• Locates, picks up, and delivers parts required for department needs.
• Assists in monitoring the work of lower level HVAC mechanics by providing instruction and training, serving as information resource and reviewing completed projects.
• Checks and changes air filters on a regular basis.
• Assesses drain problems and performs any needed repairs.
• Installs humidifiers into system and connects water and drain pipes.
• Determines amount of airflow required to keep carbon dioxide at a safe level; ensures this level is maintained.
• Complete & Submit signed forms to document each task you perform
